The discussion on news/talk radio across the country centered for the most part on the media’s and some Democrats’ rush to blame talk radio and conservatives for 22-year-old Jared Loughner’s shooting spree that left six dead and 18 wounded including Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ). Conservative talk hosts from national superstar Rush Limbaugh to local hosts in communities across the country defended their craft and accused the media and those assigning them blame of using the tragedy to gain political advantage.
